I was nervous the first time I flew on a commercial airline.  I grew up in a non-flying family – ironically in the state where the license plate contains the slogan ‘First in Flight’ – so when I had the opportunity to fly I was both excited and nervous.  My excitement was for the experience itself.  The nervousness included a concern about landing the hard way and about air travel etiquette.  How was one to behave in an airplane?  What was the dress code?
